Kudos are given to people who act in loco parentis. It’s not easy to watch over a kid that isn’t yours or who you have no responsibility over. But it is easy to put the kid on top of an incline and slide them right back down. Then do it again because it’s insatiable to your cravings. It’s a myth to say that a kid gets attached to you. I’ve been taking care of one and every time I see them again they act brand new. Their characterization isn’t the best when it comes to favorite teenagers. They go to those uncanny ones that want nothing to do with them.

August 15 The Socratic method can be a good idea when students in the class make it welcoming and no one feels belittled by their ideas. The article mentions that it is sometimes used to tear down ideas they hear. Its not a debate and there should be no strong judgement against the others thoughts. There should be acknowledge and if there is disagreement just letting their side be known. With a group full of teenagers its hard because everyone wants to be right. With a class full of nerds no one wants to be told their wrong or embarrassed by something they said. When everyone is accepting it makes the Socratic so much easier because no one is scared of sounding stupid.
