The decline of language has political and economic causes.
A man may drink because he thinks he’s a failure but becomes a failure because he’s drinking. This one stuck out to me because I try so hard to not be what I think is stupid and I still become what I work so hard to destroy and it fucked me up because it makes me angry I don’t know what to do with myself but inhale and move on although I don’t want to do that.

August 15 The Socratic method can be a good idea when students in the class make it welcoming and no one feels belittled by their ideas. The article mentions that it is sometimes used to tear down ideas they hear. Its not a debate and there should be no strong judgement against the others thoughts. There should be acknowledge and if there is disagreement just letting their side be known. With a group full of teenagers its hard because everyone wants to be right. With a class full of nerds no one wants to be told their wrong or embarrassed by something they said. When everyone is accepting it makes the Socratic so much easier because no one is scared of sounding stupid.
