When you have a prompt to a story it is easier to follow and know what the person that assigned this is looking for. When it’s free and it’s a thing you want to write in your own it’s whatever you want it to be. You get to decide what the prompt is and where you’re going to go with this essay.

August 15 The Socratic method can be a good idea when students in the class make it welcoming and no one feels belittled by their ideas. The article mentions that it is sometimes used to tear down ideas they hear. Its not a debate and there should be no strong judgement against the others thoughts. There should be acknowledge and if there is disagreement just letting their side be known. With a group full of teenagers its hard because everyone wants to be right. With a class full of nerds no one wants to be told their wrong or embarrassed by something they said. When everyone is accepting it makes the Socratic so much easier because no one is scared of sounding stupid.
