The Making of an Essay

When making an essay, I’ve been taught to follow the hamburger rule, it’s helpful in the way that it gives a skeleton to the essay but it also created a barrier. I can’t go crazy and come back in the way I wish. Freely being able to make an essay is relaxing, there’s no pressure in mandatory steps. But theres also no way of knowing if I had everything that is necessary to make it an essay. I would follow the hamburger skeleton but tweak it to make it my own.

August 15 The Socratic method can be a good idea when students in the class make it welcoming and no one feels belittled by their ideas. The article mentions that it is sometimes used to tear down ideas they hear. Its not a debate and there should be no strong judgement against the others thoughts. There should be acknowledge and if there is disagreement just letting their side be known. With a group full of teenagers its hard because everyone wants to be right. With a class full of nerds no one wants to be told their wrong or embarrassed by something they said. When everyone is accepting it makes the Socratic so much easier because no one is scared of sounding stupid.
