Unless you have evidence to support your opinion then your opinion doesn’t matter, although it shouldn’t matter because an opinion should just be an idea that you believe in. But when you actually think about it if your opinion is credible then it should hold value and would actually be appreciated and you’d have someone listen instead of just saying something because you decided to say something.

August 15 The Socratic method can be a good idea when students in the class make it welcoming and no one feels belittled by their ideas. The article mentions that it is sometimes used to tear down ideas they hear. Its not a debate and there should be no strong judgement against the others thoughts. There should be acknowledge and if there is disagreement just letting their side be known. With a group full of teenagers its hard because everyone wants to be right. With a class full of nerds no one wants to be told their wrong or embarrassed by something they said. When everyone is accepting it makes the Socratic so much easier because no one is scared of sounding stupid.
